Benchmark Transitions

Benchmark Transitions, established in 1993, provides a specialized dual diagnosis program for young adult men aged 18 to 26 in Redlands, California. Founded by Jaynie Longnecker-Harper M.Ed, a leader in special education and transitional living, the center is committed to guiding young men and their families toward independence and lasting recovery. Benchmark has a proven track record of success with complex mental health issues, including anxiety, bipolar, depression, ADHD, and trauma, alongside substance abuse. The multidisciplinary approach at Benchmark Transitions integrates evidence-based therapies with enriching recreational activities and holistic services. Treatment plans feature individual counseling, equine therapy, experiential therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and family therapy. Life skills training, educational opportunities, music therapy, and recreation therapy are also integral components, fostering personal growth and self-reliance within a supportive environment. Twelve Step facilitation is also available to support individuals on their journey. Benchmark offers diverse residential living options, including the Wildwood 52-acre working ranch and Panorama Ridge for men, both designed to provide comfortable, home-like settings. Transitional living is available at Cypress House or Magnolia House, located in historic Redlands. These properties may feature amenities such as swimming pools, large gardens, and spaces for recreation, creating an ideal environment for healing and growth.
