Heroes Mile

Heroes Mile, located in DeLand, Florida, is a dedicated veterans-only program offering comprehensive substance use disorder treatment through inpatient and outpatient services. Situated on a serene 10-acre nature-filled campus, the facility is uniquely designed to address the complex needs of military personnel and veterans, including the impacts of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The program employs evidence-based treatments and a wide range of therapies, such as 1-on-1 and group therapy, recreational therapy, family/marriage counseling, and nutrition education. Specialized modalities like Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Medication-Assisted Treatment are integrated, alongside Twelve Step Facilitation, to treat various addictions, alcohol use, drug addiction, PTSD, and trauma. Counseling services extend to family members, fostering a supportive recovery network. Heroes Mile provides a tranquil environment featuring private and shared bedrooms, outdoor lounge spaces, a scenic pond area, and recreational facilities like basketball and volleyball courts. The facility is Joint Commission accredited, underscoring its commitment to high standards of care, and accepts both private and public insurances.
