Megan’s House

Megan's House, part of The Megan House Foundation, Inc., offers a compassionate and comprehensive residential treatment program for young women battling substance use disorders in Lowell, Massachusetts. This therapeutic community provides a nurturing, structured environment where up to 28 young women can embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. With a typical stay of six months or longer if needed, Megan's House is dedicated to empowering residents to achieve lasting sobriety and reclaim their lives.

The program's unique approach integrates a diverse range of evidence-based therapies delivered by experienced licensed mental health and addiction counselors. Core therapeutic offerings include 1-on-1 Counseling, Family Therapy, and specialized interventions such as Art Therapy and Equine Therapy when available. Eye Movement Therapy (EMDR) is also utilized for trauma processing. Beyond clinical care, residents receive one-on-one success coaching to further their education and employment goals, alongside engaging physical fitness activities like boxing and yoga.

Megan's House is committed to equipping young women with essential "Skills for a Lifetime." Residents learn crucial Life Skills such as time management, cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, and effective communication. The facility fosters a sense of community through shared responsibilities like daily chores and an onsite vegetable garden, whose produce is incorporated into meals. This holistic model addresses Alcohol and Drug Addiction, specializing in the unique needs of Young Adults and offering a supportive "Women only" environment.
