Wake Monarch Academy, situated in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a groundbreaking recovery high school committed to supporting adolescents aged 13 to 21 who are actively overcoming substance use disorders. This unique institution provides a rigorous college-preparatory education for students in grades 9 through 12, seamlessly integrating academic excellence with vital recovery support services. Founded by Leah Wright, driven by personal experience, Wake Monarch Academy opened in August 2021 as the Triangle area’s first recovery high school. Operating as a non-profit, it relies on tuition, fundraising, and donations to provide its essential services for adolescents and young adults dealing with Drug Addiction. The academy also offers resources and volunteer opportunities, extending its impact to families affected by adolescent substance use challenges.
