GoForth Recovery

GoForth Recovery is a dedicated non-profit organization located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, committed to supporting men bravely navigating substance use disorders. The center provides a unique residential transitional living program, meticulously designed to offer a structured and supportive environment crucial for recovery. GoForth Recovery's mission is deeply rooted in empowering residents to take ownership of their recovery journey and to lay a solid foundation for becoming productive, contributing members of their communities. The program at GoForth Recovery is built upon a dual foundation of spiritual and practical growth. Residents actively participate in 12-step meetings, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. Complementing this, comprehensive life skills classes, totaling eight hours per week, cover vital areas such as decision-making, refusal skills, interpersonal communication, values, goal setting, money management, and anger management. These essential skills are taught alongside therapeutic interventions like 1-on-1 Counseling, Trauma-Specific Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Recreation Therapy. Beyond the structured curriculum, GoForth Recovery extends its support to include crucial assistance with job placement, transportation, basic healthcare, and access to external counseling services. This holistic approach ensures that every aspect of a man's reintegration into society is addressed. The organization emphasizes providing high-quality care to all, regardless of financial means, and encourages residents to volunteer within the community, enabling them to share their stories of hope. A minimum six-month commitment to the residential program is required, ensuring ample time for deep, lasting transformation.
