Odyssey House – Female Residential

Odyssey House - Female Residential, a vital program of the non-profit Odyssey House of Utah, offers a nurturing and empowering gender-specific residential environment for women in Salt Lake City. This 16-bed program is meticulously designed for women grappling with mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and PTSD, often alongside co-occurring addiction. The approach is deeply personalized, beginning with a thorough initial assessment to craft a tailored treatment plan for each woman.

A highly specialized care team, comprising certified mental health and substance abuse counselors, leads individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The program integrates evidence-based practices such as 1-on-1 Counseling, Trauma-Specific Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Eye Movement Therapy (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing. A holistic, whole-person approach is central, focusing on developing vocational and life skills, promoting physical health, rebuilding trust, and establishing healthy communication for lasting personal growth. Recreation Therapy is also incorporated to foster connection and demonstrate joyful recovery.

Medical care, medication management, and ongoing support are seamlessly integrated through their nearby Martindale Clinic.
